Ginger, aged (mid-late 20s) Haflinger mare, arrived in December 2018. Another Christmas save. Like many drafts at the end of the plow season she found herself dis-guarded and bound for slaughter. Ginger was tagged from the auction (3 digit number) then tagged to ship to slaughter (4 digit number). Luckily she had meds in her system so she was marked with a big green X. It saved her life! She was sent to auction destined for slaughter because she worked so hard for her owners that she permanently injured herself. Her left front ankle is deformed from injury - some days the pain makes it difficult to even walk, but she carries on with her new herd in her new life as a sweet gorgeous lawn ornament.
